I chose the 4/3/16 14 day cruise because the original itinerary had Aruba, Curacao and also Bonaire. However they deleted Bonaire and substituted an overnight in Curacao. Personally we didn't utilize the overnight but stayed on the ship. We didn't want to go clubbing. We were very impressed with the cruise and the ship. As it was the last Caribbean sailing before the re positioning in Southampton UK. There were a lot of cruisers from Europe and the UK which was just fine.
The food had improved from recent Celebrity cruises on the Summit and the Equinox. We also ate at all four pay extra restaurants starting with Bistro on five for embarkation lunch. All three of the dinner restaurants were tried via a pre cruise purchased package and were very much enjoyed. My 62nd birthday was during the cruise and the premium celebration package gave us an additional night in Murano and a bottle of Dom P (menu price $220 USD) and roses. The only Celebrity Shore excursion booked was the Mount Gay rum factory on Barbados due to the fact we were there on a Sunday and almost everything was closed in town.
In Summary:
The cabin was fine. No noise or working issues. The toilet area is cramped for my size. We had our steward swap the duvet for a blanket since the duvet was way too hot at night. We also got some softer pillows too.
Will never book the Hilton Airport hotel again
This was exlilerating
Not sure why this is an overnight port.
Cruise Critic Roll Call outing set up was very nice. Sugar beach for snorkeling, volcano and the waterfall plus genuine and tasty Lucian lunch at Julian's Moma's house
Boat tour with snorkeling and lunch
just an easy shopping day
Barbados on a Sunday is very quiet, nothing much open past the dock stores. Mount Gay tour was very nice
easy shopping day
