This was my first cruise but I went with family members who had been on cruises before with other cruise lines. We selected this particular cruise because we wanted specifically to go to Jamaica, Grand Cayman being an additional bonus. I thought the food was terrible except for the pizza, cheeseburgers, and ice cream. Aside from consuming a poor diet, we ended up not stopping in Jamaica due to a medical emergency and were thoroughly disappointed. (But not as disappointed as the bride and groom on board who were supposed to be getting married in Jamaica that day or their entire families who flew to meet them there. Or the family who had brought their mothers ashes to bring to a specific destination in Jamaica.)

It was an extremely sad and frustrating day and although the cruise refunded us for our shore excursions, they only offered us 20% off of our next carnival cruise. That is a joke as they make ten times that just in alcohol just by keeping us at sea another day. The result of another day at sea was people milling around drunk and upset, the atmosphere generally unhappy. A 30$ game of Bingo, or 90's trivia was available but it just did not seem to do it for me.

The next day as I went to get money to get off at Grand Cayman I noticed that all the cash was missing out of my wallet as well as my mothers wallet. When we informed guest services that over $500 in cash was taken from both wallets in locked staterooms they treated us like liars and suggested that we only misplaced our money (going so far as to ask if we needed security to come and help us search the room). The only people in and out of our rooms was the stewards/ housekeepers. I noticed that the stewards leave the doors to your staterooms open during cleaning but they insist no one else could have gone inside. But they have NO cameras in the hallways so there is no way of knowing what happened. I was not expecting the money to be refunded however it would have been nice to be treated with some care or compassion.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Not very much to see but worth the stop.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Best part of the whole vacation and the cruise had nothing to do with it.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

It was just OK. We liked being able to hold the baby turtles
