This was my 3rd Norwegian Cruise. I've taken the Epic, The Getaway and this year the Escape. For all of the people that have written bad reviews, they probably weren't going to have a good time on any cruise. For the people who complained about paying extra at specialty restaurants, if you wanted an all inclusive vacation, you should have booked one. Complaining about not being able to get dinner reservations, I didn't have a problem for a party of 7 every night.

I was impressed on the Escape this year with the staff. All of them went out of their way to remember everybody's names. I am a solo cruiser staying in the studios. The rooms are just fine for one person. I booked this cruise with 3 other solo cruisers that I met on the Getaway last year. We all got passes for the Vibe Beach Club (highly recommended). You have to be on the ship early though to get a pass. They only sell about 70 of them at $99 each. Also highly recommended, the thermal suite at the Mandara Spa. Those are the two most peaceful places on the ship. There is plenty to do on this ship.

Next year I'm going to book the Getaway again because of the Western Caribbean itinerary. Norwegian has a good thing going with the "freestyle cruising" and they are the only ones with solo cabins. I really can't see what people are complaining about on this website. Plan for a good time and you'll have one. I'm sticking with Norwegian!

Cabin Review

Studio Stateroom

Cabin T1

Perfect for one person. The studios are in the front, center of the ship so the movement is not that bad if the seas get rough. Cabin Steward was great!

Port Reviews

St. Thomas

This was my 4th time to St. Thomas. Went up the tram to the top of the mountain and went downtown for some shopping.

Tortola

make sure to be on deck as the ship leaves the port. It goes through the islands for about 20 minutes and they are beautiful.

Nassau

about my 20th time to Nassau. Atlantisis always fun. A little pricey but fun.
