This was our third Viking River Cruise. We went on this cruise as we wished to visit Paris and the Normandy Beaches.

When we booked this cruise over a year before we sailed we believed the ship would be moored close to the centre of Paris. Unfortunately before we sailed we were informed that the port authorities had moved the mooring position to Le Pecq some 11 miles from the centre of Paris. This meant that there was around a 45 minutes to one hour bus ride to the centre of Paris. Instead of the short walk we were hoping for. This was the only disappointing aspect of this cruise.

Other than this the cruise was excellent. The ship and our cabin was spotlessly cleansed comfortable, the staff friendly and very attentive, nothing was too much trouble for them. The meals were excellent always well prepared and plenty of choice. There was always plenty of wine and other drinks served with the meals. Read more
