Had never been to Europe, so it was on my bucket list. Flight and Embarkation was smooth with no problems with lost luggage or transportation from the airport. The ship was very clean and the cabin was comfortable. Room service personnel were excellent. Very good dining experience. Food was varied and always top notch. Service was impeccable. Servers were very friendly and would do anything for you. Shipboard entertainment was good but low key. Piano, Polka and a glass blower. On shore excursions were well planned and executed, providing something for everyone's physical abilities. On shore guides were very knowledgeable, providing a lot of history and interesting information.
I personally would not go on this particular tour again (seen it), but will probably do another trip with Viking in the future. Was well worth the money spent. Many, many castles, churches and Cathedrals to see. Bring along a good pair of sturdy and comfortable walking shoes for the cobblestones and a small collapsible umbrella. The ship provides large ones if needed, but they are cumbersome when not raining. One way receivers are provided for the tours so you are able to hear the guides without straining. There were a few problems with the guide's microphones not working properly, but these were worked out prior to starting the tours. Overall this was a very good trip. Well planned and executed, and well worth the money spent. Viking is at the top of their game and I will probably be taking another cruise with them
in the future.
Cabin was very clean and well maintained. Did have a bathroom door malfunction and was locked in for about 30 minutes. Door had to be removed from track to free me. (Good dinner conversation as anything happening on board is quickly disseminated.) Engineering was very quick to repair the door. Bed was very comfortable.
Very good tour. Guides were from the city and were very knowledgeable.
Very good tour.
