This was only our second cruise, our first one being on Disney Cruise Line. I choose this cruise because it fit into our families time frame, we wanted to try a non Disney ship and also the price.

The ship is looking a little tired and due for a refurb. We had a few problems on board but nothing the couldn't be or wasn't rectified. The room steward was great as was the dining staff. The dining room food was ok but nothing that knocked my socks off. The buffet on Lido deck was pretty good as was the pizza. The 3 of us that went did have a good time overall but after being on Disney Dream we weren't wowed by the food on the ship or the overall cleanliness.

What we did like was the casino, the disembarkation was more relaxed with less of a rush to get rid of you. My son loved club carnival and the salt water pool at the back of the ship. The little things is what we noticed being different between Disney and Carnival. Empty bowls of food were left lying around on seats in non food areas, ash trays were always full with no sign of anyone coming to empty them, rust on the inside part of the pool.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Cabin 6D

Cabin needs a good updating. Leaking shower onto common area carpet, ripped window curtain, shade on light in corner hanging off ( I fixed that myself). Bed was comfy, bathroom good size with lots of toiletry storage. Shower had lots of pressure

Port Reviews

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

A cleaner version of Nassau

Cozumel

Nice clean shopping area attached to port. Beyond that, enter at own risk
