We previously sailed on Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Sea & had an fantastic cruise, so we tried a sister ship Serenade of the Seas. Our travel plans were made with 2 other couples & it was truly a delightful trip. The food was excellent, service in the dining room past our expectations with waiters Jesuno Max Fernandes & Kevin Bras were exceptional & treated us like royalty.

The dining in the Windjammer restaurant was strictly a buffet experience with plenty to eat. The morning breakfast offered a variety of fruits, breads, rolls & fresh sticky buns (Yummy), made to order omelets, pancakes, waffles & eggs any way you liked. There was also smoked fish, bagels, cream cheese & fresh smoked salmon for your sampling. A variety to make everyone happy. The lunch menu was filled with delicious pastries & deserts as well as many fine warm meals to choose from. Always fresh coffee & drinks to top the meal off.

Plenty of great night shows to attend, dancing, music & a full days agenda of activities to keep one busy. The stops at the ports of which were 5 gave us plenty of time to shop & sight see via a guide we found on shore. Taking a private tour was more to our liking as we could select where we wanted to go & bargain on the prices.

Cabin Review

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin F

Large port window on the 4th floor with no blockage of view. The room had a nice couch & end table for relaxing, good sized queen sized bed & nice sized bathroom with shower. Plenty of fresh towels, very clean & a happy room steward for excellent service. Each night our bed was turned down & every other night a make shift towel animal was on the bed.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

We took off ship excursion so we could select where we wanted to go & bargain on length & price.

Tortola

Off ship excursion we were able to bargain on price, length & where we wanted to go.

St. Maarten

Walking tour on our own to downtown shops. If you go looking for good jewelry & want a great price, stop in to Ocean Jewelry & ask for Bob. Great prices, no pressure & fun place to shop.

Antigua

Took a tour of the island via private guide. Very interesting, bargained on length & price.

St. Kitts (Port Zante)

Off ship excursion, bargained on price & length. Went shopping to jewelry shops & definitely stop in at Royal Gems. Great jewelry store for shopping, no pressure & lots of fine jewelry
