We took this particular cruise (this was our 3rd) because it was a late-breaking decision and was one of two that fit in our window of opportunity. We enjoyed the cruise although a change in course to deal with medical emergency caused us to miss our port call in Ocho Rios. That was a disappointment, but life happens. I think the captain made the right decision. We really enjoyed our relaxing, extended day at Seven Mile Beach in Cayman which is always one of our favorites. We took a cab out to the Royal Palms Beach Club--$4 cab, $2 entrance to club which has pool, bar, restaurant, and beach toys and equipment available for rent.
The ship is older but relatively well maintained. The staff were all pleasant and helpful.
Food was good but not sensational--but then for the price we were not expecting top-of-the-line gourmet meals. Dining room service was great, as always. Had to watch what you got on the buffetl ines to avoid cold food. I would say that they did a very good job with Caribbean style day. Entertainment was amusement park level. We enjoyed the musical shows and the comedians. It met our expectations. Emma, our cruise director, was the epitome of cheerfulness and tried to get people involved in the fun..
