This was a really great cruise for my husband and I, as well as my parents. It was my dad’s birthday and I wanted to take both him and my mom on their first cruise. So, where do I begin? First, this has to be the cleanest Carnival ship we have ever been on. It’s an older vessel but it is immaculately kept and I was not at all perturbed by all the pink that others talked about in their reviews. As a matter of fact, it didn’t look all that pink to me….lol.

The staff, oh the staff!! What a great group of people!! Kind and friendly are just not good enough words to describe these people. I want to especially mention Jonathan, our stateroom steward who greeted us with a big smile everyday and who addressed us by our names. He seemed to know the names of everyone on our little section of our deck which was quite impressive. Tomi in the Black Pearl dining room was awesome as well as Sibila in the Lido buffet. They each work so hard but they always seem so very happy and they make you feel genuinely welcomed. They really understand and have mastered customer service.

We had the spa cabins and enjoyed full access to the spa amenities. My parents especially enjoyed the Thalassotherapy pool. Special mention of Half Moon Cay which was absolutely beautiful and Carnival did a good job of taking the ’ship’ on to the island with their fabulous buffet. You really don’t need to do any excursions at this stop, in my opinion. The beach is breathtaking! Just grab a cabana and relax!!

Port Reviews

Grand Turk

Grand Turk leaves much to be desired. We had great expectations of this island but we were disappointed. The island is extremely small and we didn't find anything that particularly interested us. The beach was ok. I was not blown y.

St. Thomas

We enjoyed the various stops, Mountain Top. The view from the overlook point at the great house was spectacular as well. Beautiful island. Lots of fruiting mango trees!

San Juan

We walked to San Cristobal and El Morro Forts. Nice and historic with beautiful views of the ocean.

Half Moon Cay

We didn't feel the need to do any excursions here. The beauty of this location was enough to warrant us staying here on the beach all day. We enjoyed the buffet and walked around the beautiful island. We even went to the stingray adventure section to watch
