This Celebrity Cruise was chosen due to the timing and the itinerary. We began looking at this cruise approximately 2 years before it's sailing and compared it with other cruises being offered. After many comparisions..... and reviewing many positive postings on cruisecritic.com we made the choice to cruise on the Infinity. We are very happy we did. While the embarkation process was a bit slow (time was shortened due to inspections and other issues) we were happy to board in the early afternoon. Security was typical and while busy everyone was friendly during the process.
We found the ship in pretty good shape, however there were some small areas we noted that were due for a little fix up. The shower and areas surrounding the vanity were heavily laden with caulking that appeared to be layered many times in order to keep problems away. We did notice a chipped floor tile and a bit of dark in the caulking / grout but did not feel this was of any health concern.
The room was spotless, and our Cabin Steward Michael was very approachable and always ready to assist with any request. His partner Gareth were both great and we could not have had better service. I do miss the evening ''towel animals" found on other cruise lines though.
Nice clean cabin with nice furnishings. While the bathroom was heavily laden with layers of caulking it was kept clean and spotless. Amenities in room were exactly what we had expected.
Had an excellent time riding the Camels along the beach, and having nice food and tequila sampling. This was a fun experience, and was well worth the 4 hour plus experience.
