I have wanted to take a cruise my whole life and my husband and I "celebrated" our 25th anniversary aboard Norwegian Breakaway and also brought our teenage daughter and family friend. I could seriously go on and on about all of the problems we had, but I will give you the highlights, along with some good things. Here goes:

CON:

***Putting this first...beware of the port shopping seminars and buying jewelry at Effy in Nassau. It was heavily touted by the port shopping guy and they sold my husband two rings for our 25th wedding anniversary to the tune of $3000. They were shoddily resized and we waited much longer for the resizing than when we were told they would be done. We just made it back to the ship in time and didn't get the chance to have them fix them. The only reason we left with them was we were given the New York City customer service information. We contacted them and they want us to mail $3000 worth of jewelry to them. I had my jeweler look the rings and he said that both of them were horribly resized, one wasn't even fully soldered and the other was completely misshapen. I feel so conned, not just by the store, but by Norwegian's shopping guy. Buyer beware, even if it is a reputable jeweler based in the US.
