I flew into MIA Thursday night at midnight, to arrive in Miami at 10:30 the day of the cruise. My friend flew in from Colorado the same time, and we met at the airport. The flights were easy and flew all night so that we didn't waste a day on the trip. We DIDN'T check our bags because we didn't want to deal with lost luggage, plus Continental charges 15$ to check a bag. We took a cab to the port, which was 25$ and about a 15 minute ride. Once we got to the port, we took our luggage and went to the check in counter. Five minutes later we had our seapass and walked on to the boat. Our rooms weren't ready so we went into the buffet for lunch. There was definitely a good selection for lunch. After lunch, we grabbed a drink at the pool bar, and by the time we were done, our room was ready. The interior room was small, but worked just fine for the 2 of us. The only complaint I had was that when the boat was rocking at night, the room creaked and it was kind of hard to sleep but not terrible. Room service was wonderful and everyone on the boat was really attentive. We laid out by the pool for a while, then came in and showered for dinner. Dinner the first night was great. it was casual and there was a great selection of entrees and deserts. Dinner took almost 2 hours and the people at our table didn't speak English, and my Spanish is terrible, so I talked with my friend most of the time. A lot of people on the boat were international. That night, we walked around the boat and checked everything out but were tired from our flight, so we called it a night. TIP!!!! GET A SEA SICKNESS PATCH BEFORE U COME. IT GOES BEHIND YOUR EAR AND IS MAGIC! We woke up early the next day, grabbed breakfast and then headed to Coco Cay. The ferrier boat took us on a 5 minute ride to the island. The island was very pretty. Manmade structures but it was Royal Caribbean's private island. We decided to grab some beach chairs and tan most of the time, with a break for lunch. They had a full on hot buffet lunch and a band. It was a relaxing time and around 4pm, we took the ferrier back to the boat. This night was formal dinner, so we got ready and dressed up and headed to dinner. After this, we just walked around the boat and saw the activities going on. Kind of a lack of entertainment as far as singles/adults.The next day we woke up, had breakfast and got off in Nassau. We had scheduled an excursion to swim with the sting rays, so there were about 40 people who took a boat to an island about 20 minutes away. We were given snorkel gear and it was a great experience! We got to pet them and feed them and then lay on a beautiful beach for a few more hours. After heading back to the port, we went to Senor Frogs for lunch and drinks. It was a blast and there were a ton of people drinking and having a good time. We got back on the boat and got ready for dinner after a quick nap. After dinner, we went to the comedy show and it was hilarious! After the show, we headed back to the room to pack up and woke up for early check off the next day. Definitely worth beating the rush. We took a cab to South Beach and stayed at the Catalina Hotel, and it was a BLAST to be in Miami for an extra day.
