This was our 4th overall cruise, and first with friends (2 other couples) and first with royal caribbean. we arrived to the port in baltimore via car, parking and luggage drop off was fast, and the check in process while a little slow was seamless. the ship itself is small, and old, but no noticeable issues because of that. the service and food is what set this cruise apart from others (on celebrity).
our stateroom attendant hayat did a great job, very visible and helpful, and would have our room ready every day shortly after we headed down for breakfast. we ate most lunches and all dinners in the main dinning room with the same group of friends, but used my time dinning. each night we were greeted by name and seated at the same table on the 5th floor. our head waiter antonio from india was wonderful, very personable and accommodating. he welcomed us all by name every time we saw him, even outside of the dinning room. his assistant waiter andre from the ukraine earned his nickname of chuck norris by always being there before we even had a chance to ask. our beverage server simon from the chec republic was simply the best. his sense of humor was only outdone by his service, our glasses never empty, and he often had our drinks ready or on ice before we even sat at the table.
our cabin 7624 (balcony) was in a great location close to mid ship and easily accessible from the main gathering points on the ship. we always book this class room, and felt it was a bit larger then previous cruises, the balcony was the same as we have had in the past, but the shower was pretty tight. the food in the main dinning room for lunch and dinner was very good, and accommodating to all even the veterinarians. the buffet food did not meet the levels of that on celebrity and due to that we opted to enjoy all of our meals in the main dinning room. also the late night snacks (pizza) were not that good so we opted to just eat a bit more at dinner and skip the late night munchies run.
Cabin was a nice size and laid out well, Full couch and a nice size Deck which fit my Camp Hammock well. I enjoyed hours of swinging in the Hammock while out on the Deck
Very Easy port to navigate
Went to Coconuts Beach Bar and then walked the beach. Hit the Florida Brewing Company on the way back to port for some Craft Beers, used Uber to get back to the ship.
Not the Best Caribbean port, but much like others, many vendors pushing trinkets and Touristy Bars. Did got to Pirate Republic Brewing for some craft beers, very friendly service.
