Sail Date: Feb 2016
Cabin: Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

We cruised on the Adventure of the seas in Feb 2016 and I was disappointed in many ways. First the ship was run down. The room was a sunset veranda but there was no view. We were told the view was partially obstructed. In reality it was totally obstructed.

We booked a shore excursion that through the cruise line and they claimed we would see the oldest working rum distillery in the Caribbean. The distillery was not working and was simply a junk yard. We complained about the excursion and asked for a refund but they were not receptive to a refund. After a couple days they did agree to a 50% rebate. They did not review the excursion prior to selling it. They should not have charged us.

Royal changed the gratuity policy since our last cruise with royal in 2012 and add them to your stateroom bill. No one told us about this even when we asked about paying the gratuities. So we paid gratuities and after leaving the ship found our stateroom account was also charged. I called Royal and they refused to make any refund on the doubled gratuities.
