We stayed close to the port, and travel to the port on Monday morning was smooth.  Embarkation was efficient.

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

We have been to Cozumel several times, and elected to take a cab ($4 per person) to down town.  We enjoyed hiking around the town and shopping on the plaza.

Cozumel

We really enjoyed the Banana Plantation excursion.  Maria our tour guide was excellent and the motor coach was a fairly new coach.  Maria provided a wealth of information about her country and the local customs.  The drive along the coast to the plantation was very beautiful and provided an opportunity to see wildlife and many fruit and nut trees.

Our excursion took us to the Gatun Locks and Fort San Lorenzo.  We visited the Gatun Locks and watched ships transit the locks.  We also drove across the new canal.  We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the locks.  Our guide "Al" did an excellent job explaining the importance of the locks to the people of Panama.  The 400 year old Fort San Lorenzo was also impressive and provided a great view of the river.  Al provided a brief history of the fort.  Our time in the old U.S. Canal Zone was a highlight of the cruise.  We were surprised to see how many of the building in the zone that had not been maintained. A small shopping area was located at the pier with reasonably priced souvenirs.

Our excursion was called Deluxe Cartagena and Fortress.  First we visited the San Felipe Fortress.  Maria, our tour guide, provided an excellent walking tour of the fortress and provided a good brief history of the site.  She also provided instructions regarding how to deal with the street vendors and the expectations of the locals regarding payment for taking their pictures.  After the fortress, we visited the Las Bovedas Artisan Center for shopping.  Following the brief shopping stop, Maria led us on a walking tour of the Walled City.  We visited the Inquisition Palace and the majestic San Pedro Clover's Sanctuary.  These were impressive.  The Walled City was very safe and beautiful.  The architecture and the flowers in the city were also impressive.  At the port, there was a small shopping area that offered souvenirs and packaged coffee priced at or below those in the city.  In that same area is a small local zoo to walk through and observe some local animals.  

We were very impressed with how Celebrity staff (led by Mario) organized the excursion departures from the ship.  People met inside in the theater and were called out in groups when their transportation/guides were ready for them.  This limited the amount of time we had to stand outside in the hot sun.

We elected to hike around town and check our e-mail.  A Burger King is located a block off the main road along the waterfront, and provides excellent wifi with a purchase.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

While we had a good time on the cruise overall, we were disappointed in the food quality in the dinning room and the quality of the entertainment.Overall, we were disappointed in the variety and the quality of food in the main dinning room.
