If you are looking for a good way to visit all the main Hawaii attractions in a week this cruise is a good option, but we were a bit disappointed with some aspects of the ship. If there was an alternative cruise doing a similar round trip, competition might be good for the punter. With the not insbstantial sum we paid for the trip, we expected clean sea air, not the ever present stink of sewerage, especially on decks 5 and 6. At Maui this was very bad, and the smell was pumped into our stateroom all night. This could hardly be conducive to health!

We also disliked the creative ways we could be scooped for more cash. Eg the internet service charges, and the ship block booking of helecopter excursions preventing direct booking, and adding extra charges.

I suggest planning and booking all your shore excursions independantly and well in advance. We prearranged car hire with friends for most of our time ashore but had to be very careful to get back to the ship in time for sailing - we cut it pretty fine on one occasion.
