Tulum is very beautiful and usually offered an an excursion from Cozumel and other Mexican ports.

It truly is a lovely ship, with wonderful entertainment venues and remarkably talented musicians, acrobats, dancers and more! The technical staff behind the scenes also work wonders on all the big production numbers.

A couple minor design issues were not so great to me; pools were rather small, which I guess was meant to spread people out. I don't get the bar that goes up and down just seemed silly, and not so attractive.

The crew really can make or breaks a cruise! I do like the diversity of the Allure. You do not find an entire staff in one area all from 1 country, of 1 nationality or culture. I think it lessens stereotyping and makes life aboard more interesting, hopefully for them as well. I am sure many cruisers feel they had the best waiter but of course our Cairo was the best! He handled an awkward beginning well. My husband and I sat at a large table during most of the first meal. When we finally met out table mates, his humor and charm us helped us to feel more comfortable and we had a great time. His assistant was very nice too but I am in my car and can't remember how to spell any name longer than 4 letters.
