Embarcation was poor with some passengers waiting over 3 hours to get on and disembarcation was badley organised & we got off after 2 hours.
The big problem with Britannia is the lack of stairs mid ship & insufficient lifts for 3500 people which was made worse by the Ant & Dec ITV crew commandeering lifts to move equipment over a period of days?
This ITV show caused massive disruption to the main pool deck which was closed off on one side for engineers. This went on over a period of days and we were prevented access to half of pool deck and the deck above. Sure we were aware like others on board that there would be some minor disruption & noise but no one was prepared for being barred from certain areas for so long?
Our cabin on the 8th floor G412 was fine and the "obstructed view" was not a problem as this cabin along with 3 on either side did not overlook the lifeboats.
Bathroom was a bit small for big people, shower door awkward to open for fatties but NO shower curtain which was a relief.
On the first 2 nights the sea was quite rough and as our cabin was low down in the middle of the ship we had to endure rattling patio door and creaking furniture which I assume was created by the Ship "flexing" in the middle in rough seas which kept me awake ALL night.
Our cabin chap "Lal" was excellent and easily the best staff member on board which resulted in him receiving a large tip (we only tip for top service)
Barcelona is Barcelona, its the 3rd time we have been here and its raining AGAIN!
Pretty little town spoilt by drunk/druggie locals
Whats not to like its British for starters, lovely weather, friendly Brits, lots of shops. very cheap booze.
Cadiz is a pleasant town but local traffic can be a pain.
Its just a big port
