Just back yesterday from Freedom and I'm still aching from the bed. These are supposed to be new mattresses?? We were in a junior suite and were told by our room steward's boss that they no longer have pads for ANY beds. Steward tried to pad with duvets and I was able to sleep, but ached all week! Going on FOS again in Nov. with 10 family members that have never cruised, thinking of bringing lots of air mattresses!

We don't get off in port anymore since we've been to the same ones so many times, we just enjoy the ship. But it seemed the cruise compass was over run with kids and teens activities and nothing for adults but trivia, even when they showed a movie it was for kids! Tried to watch a 3D animated and they totally forgot about it. People lined up in the halls waiting and a crew member came by and asked what we were doing, he had no idea there was a movie showing on the compass!! Finally my DH opened the door and the show was already playing, so I called guest services and they too were shocked there was supposed to be a movie on! They finally had someone come down with 3D glasses and re-start the movie almost 45 minutes after it was to have started.

We're really getting disillusioned with RCCL for a lot of reasons. Service people are always great, but food has gone drastically down hill, seems they just want you to buy specialty foods. Windjammer had Mexican tacos, rice, baked pasta and spaghetti for lunch 3 days in a row, really?!? We'd kill for a real dessert that wasn't made with pudding and actually had some flavor. Even tho I'm not supposed to have sugar, was dying for something sweet so tried the Cupcake Cupboard where they said they used buttercream icing....but I can tell you it WAS NOT! Dry cake with some type of greasy icing.

We like the back of the ship and room was larger than expected and balcony was huge. New mattresses are hard as a rock though.
