I had so many thoughts before boarding the Divina due to the reviews many people gave it, but I was impressed and the cruise surpassed my expectations. The ship is EXTREMELY CLEAN. Ship staff are always cleaning and you can tell. The ship is kept up extraordinarily well. The ship has so much chrome, glass and crystal and there are no fingerprints in sight. Atrium area is very classy and the staterooms are sheek and roomy. What I found strange was the lack of trashcans. We were actually instructed once in the lobby to place our trash on a table, and within a minute or two it was gone.
State room furniture is dark cherry wood which looks a lot nicer than others I've seen and their is a lot of room for clothing , luggage, etc. Bathroom has stand-up shower with nice looking glass doors that can retract to allow more space. A lot nicer than your standard shower curtain. The room attendants do a fabulous job. Our room was probably touched at least 3 times a day. Once in the morning, some time during the day, and at night. And they do a great job.
Food on the ship is very good. And due to the ship being European, favorites like pasta, pizza, baked good, gelatos are top notch! I need to emphasize again! The Gelato is VERY good. Every option in the buffet is available that you can think off. I also liked the idea that they always have a selection of cheeses with meats to end your meal, just like they do in Europe. The desserts are SO GOOD. Not too many chocolate treats, but lots of tarts and mini cheesecakes. And they put them in little decorative mini disposable bowls. Everything in this ship is done so elegantly.
