This is not our first cruise and we would have given an excellent except for the fact that the ship was not really 100% ready for people to cruise on after being in dry dock. I AM glad our trip did not get postponed as a result because that would have been even worse than the few inconveniences we faced during the trip.
Prior to boarding we received an email that certain areas of the ship were not completed during dry dock time due to weather. The spa was one area still a work in progress along with some outside areas. To compensate, we were given a $200 room credit which was nice towards a good meal.
Some way we lucked out and were in room 7542 which is a handicap room so our room was probably wider and the balcony larger than most in our category. We had nothing to do with the choice as it was selected by the cruise line months ago. My travel agent told us she did not request it either. It was strange in the closet but everything else was great.
Great cabin, did not know it was handicap and we are not handicap but I guess the ship needed to use the room. It had a bit of an odor when we first boarded but they quickly resolved it.
Wider room due to access and nice size balcony as well. Could not complain at all about the room! Much better than the last NCL cruise with a category of balcony stateroom.
