We have cruised on most of the cruise lines, this being the first time on Princess.

The food in the Buffet (for breakfast and lunch) was okay but it was almost impossible to find a table to sit. We frequently asked to sit with strangers because there was NO alternative.

We were unable to get a set dining time, which relegated us to a long "Anytime" dining line every evening. I guess they were serious...you might eat now...or anytime...or not for a long time! This made it so we had different waiters every evening and service was very slow (not allowing us to get to shows) and indifferent. I've never had such mediocre wait staff on cruises. They are usually personable and spectacular! They said to call at 8 AM to get a reserved time in the Anytime Dining and we wouldn't have to wait. Both times we called, no one answered.

Nice balcony, large closet space.

Port Reviews

San Francisco

They drove us all over the city, showing it from every vantage point. Opportunities to stop and take pictures. Great overview.

San Diego

Lots of life in the narration - Kaye was a gem! Great way to see the city!

Ensenada

We took the tram to the city. It's nice - it gets you there right from the port.

We always walk around
