I am not an avid cruiser (yet). My first ever cruise was about 18 months ago aboard the Caribbean Princess. So it is from this point of view that I am offering a review of my experiences.

The one thing that I have observed about cruising is that when I have had less than positive experiences it was not necessarily anything that the crew or ship or line did. Most often it was the actions or demeanor of other passengers that sometimes made the trip less than enjoyable which I think happens anywhere you have large amounts of people gathering, whether its aboard ship or in a theme park.

That being said I will state from the outset that I enjoyed my cruise aboard the Jade very much! I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because like most of these types of venues the resort or in this case ship, does some things very well and others maybe only good. Thats not a criticism its just an observation that often there is compromise and give and take when running an operation on this scale.
