This was our first HAL cruise. For some reason I had preconceived notions, that it was going to be an old crusty ship with stuffy old passengers. Happily I was WAY off! The ship was beautiful! Modern stylish decor. Food was excellent. Service was top notch... and the fellow cruisers although mostly older, still had a nice mix of ages.

Loved the separate adults only pool on the rear deck. Gave us a place to get away from the screaming kids in the center pool. This rear deck pool was our base of operations for the daily fun in the sun with Pina Coladas and Mai Tai's. Lots of little bars all over the ship... ones for a quiet cocktail, or ones with a piano player, sing alongs, or watching sports. The live Blues band was awesome. They performed in the what is called the Queens Lounge/ Culinary Arts Center, which is near the Casino. Great venue.

Just off the Casino as well is an awesome little DISCOTHEQUE with fantastic lights and ambiance... but it unfortunately never had many people in there. But if you can get a group of friends together, set up over there for a regular late night get together... and this will be your party SPOT!

Half Moon Cay

Awesome little out island. Everything was very convenient and close by. Easy off the tenders. Drinks available from the pirate ship bar and other bars. Water and crystal clear, sand and beach were great. Lounge chairs everywhere. Cabanas and clam shells available for rent. Free food served inland at the food tent. Overall, just a great beach day experience.
