The ship was beautiful. The ports were paradise. MSC IS THE WORST I'VE EXPERIENCED.

Entertainment: the entertainers were talented but the head of Entertainment was not. Three DIVINA had one show per night at 7pm and 9pm. The shows were the same each night with different costumes. It was just"tributes" with singing and acrobatics on the stage. The firest 20 minutes was listening to the unfunny British head of entertainment intro 10 to 30 people each night after saying his intro in English, then a recording would go on in 5 more languages

MSC is the only cruise line I couldn't wait to get off the ship due to poor service, mostly the food staff. Example. ..small Milk cartons were only available at breakfast. When asked for milk at lunch or dinner the first 2 days they"d send me all over the buffet. They spoke English and understood me. When I'd tell them there was no milk, I'd get a shrug while they walked away or a blank stare. If asked if they could get me some they would suddenly not understand English or just say there is no milk! This is only one example of what occurred in the buffet with food, drinks and even the waiters and waitresses would sometimes say they didn't serve drinks that weren't on their bar menu, but if I walked 20 feet, the bartender would serve me anything I asked for. The first 2 days I'd ask staff how too get to the theater, for example. They spoke English but would point in the wrong direction! I found everyone I spoke to daily on the pool deck they experienced the same and would NEVER GO ON MSC AGAIN!

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B1

Balcony room was smallest room I've ever had on a cruiseTerrible service from room steward. She forgot to give us toilet paper and pool towels twice, which was big inconvenience when you need to use the toilet or want to swim but have no towels, but must wait 20 minutes each tike she forgets, because someone must deliver them to my room. NO TOWEL HUTS BY POOL. She didn't refill sodas in our mini bar even though asked. I called reception 4 times to get what she kept forgetting to give us. She was always polite and apologetic but blamed it on being so busy.

The cruise is supposed to end when I disembark. My mini bar was locked at 6pm the day before disembarkment and so was room service.

Port Reviews

La Romana (Casa de Campo)

So happy we didn't book with msc. We got off the ship and immediately set out and explored.

Nassau

Atlantis was so overcrowded that we couldn't get a tube for the lazy river, or get on the long 45 minute lines to go down a slide. For $150 each, we went through some aquariums and pools. The best part was going on the free beach next to Atlantis and riding a Wave Runner we rented.
