We had never been on a Holland ship and went as a recommendation of good friends, who were also with us. Embarkation/debarkation was a breeze and we chose to take our own luggage off. Our trip included a free drink package, meal at the Pinnacle and $100 on board credit. Not sure if we'll do the drink package again, as we're not huge drinkers, but it was fun to have. The dinner was excellent. What we most appreciated was, the fact that we were being served at the Lido Buffet. Too many people do not know how to conduct themselves at a buffet. So much more sanitary when served. Lots of variety. Loved the Sushi offering at the Lido. We did go to the Tamarind for dinner one evening and it was also exceptional.
My husband liked the gym and I did the walking deck every day along with a Thermal Spa visit. They do not have enough hot rock beds for the amount of people who signed up for the Thermal Spa. Not a positive in my book. The DJ in the Northern Lights bar needs to expand on his Disco repertoire. Very poor. Loved t BB King singers though!
One major thing we found that was a huge negative was the fact that there seemed to be way too much paper mail. Good to know that it's being recycled though.
Cabin was well appointed with ample supplies. Our cabin stewards were most engaging.
Loved the beach. Beautiful place.
It's new, so not much happening yet. They have a very nice pool area though.
