My husband and I arrived in New York on Easter Saturday before our cruise on this ship . Embarkation was very quick and we were in board by midday . First impressions were good , everywhere was clean , staff friendly and cabin ( mid ship balcony ) a good size with comfortable bed. Our cabin steward Dinesh made us welcome and looked after us well , always asking us how our day was. I had heard reports that staff were rude and food bad but this wasn't the case at all.

i did find the swimming pools were a little too crowded though and not really able to cope with so many passengers . Sun beds were very close together and we had to search for free ones but then we found a virtually empty area on deck sixteen with very comfy cane sun beds that accommodated both if us , I think at a pinch three people could have lay on it .

We booked two tours on the ship , one the post cruise tour of the big apple ending at the airport and one at Cape Canaveral of transfers to Cocoa Beach and Cocoa Village . Unfortunately we didn't go to Cocoa beach as it began to rain . The shuttles weren't very organised TBH , some people were left behind as the coach wasn't big enough then , when we arrived at Cocoa Beach we were told that if we wanted to stay on the coach instead of alighting we could do so . As only one family decided to get off we were surprised to be told we had to get off and get on another coach , this really didn't make any sense . Because if the weather we weren't able to disembark the private island and this was very disappointing and meant we only had two ports of call. However we arrived at Nassau earlier so had extra time there instead . There were local people offering private tours at the port and we paid € 20 each and were taken all over the island by a friendly guide who ended the tour at a beach five minutes away from the ship , well worth it !

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BB

Our cabin was spacious with plenty of storage and kept very clean by our steward Dinesh . He went to the trouble of giving us extra tea bags as English people like their tea. The bathroom had a nice shower in it with glass door and shampoo , shower gel , soap and lotion were provided . Loved the towel animals Dinesh , thank you . Our balcony was the smallest we have had on any ship but big enough for two . I liked the fact you could check your account on the TV and that our sofa was situated next to the balcony . ( some aren't )

Port Reviews

New York (Manhattan)

Interesting but too short

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Not the best transfer as didn't take into account the amount of people who booked .

Nassau

Enjoyed Nassau very much , explored alone and with local taxi drivers , lots to see , friendly people .
