My husband and I are in our early 70s and have taken 22 cruises. We had read a lot of negative things about Serenade. We were pleasantly surprised by the condition of the ship and thought the food on this cruise was the best we've had in a few years. She is showing her age, but is well maintained.

BOARDING - It took 30 minutes from the time we left the hotel (Embassy Suites) till we were in the Windjammer for lunch. It was, well, jammed, but we were able to find a table, and thereafter had no trouble finding seating. The Windjammer is well laid out and allows people to flow about and see all the great selections.

FOOD - We ate mostly in the Windjammer and thought the food was excellent and a lot of variety was offered. Breakfasts offered and egg station, an omelet station, and a station each morning that offered freshly made pancakes, or waffles, or crepes. (Something different each day). EXCEPTIONS- stay away from the scrambled eggs, hot dogs, and hamburgers.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Excellent, although there needs to be more plugs in cabins. Plenty of storage and space.
