Our boarding was delayed for several hours because the previous cruise had exceeded the number of sick on board allowed by regulations. Staff disinfected and cleaned while we were crammed into the boarding area until it reached maximum capacity. There was very little space per person, and only those with physical disabilities got a place to sit. The embarkation process still managed to be orderly, when it did begin. It was nice that our bags were delivered into the cabin instead of into the hall next to the door. The hallways were not overly wide, so that left room for traveling in the halls.

Our room was an inside one, and I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the bathroom-especially the shower. With the sliding glass door, the bathroom stayed dry even during/after showering. I am not a small person, and I found the shower large enough to wash my hair and shower comfortably. We enjoyed good water pressure. The rest of the cabin was compact, but large enough to give all 4 adults in our party enough room to store their things. When we were ready for bed, however the floor between the 2 single beds was filled with a pop-up bed and one bed was folded down from the wall. The bed with the bunk above and the ladder at the foot rendered the occupant unable to get in or out of bed without disturbing the person in the middle. The other single bed was really not any easier to get in or out of. If you have more than 3 people in your party, be sure that you have 2 bunk beds-not the pop-up bed.

We enjoyed most of our meals in the Pacific Dining Room, with is Art Decco and beautiful. Staff was friendly, but service seemed rather slow. We found it impossible to make 7PM shows if we started dining at 5:30. The shows we did manage to see were excellent. Debarkation was orderly and well-run. Read more
