We had a delightful time enjoying our embarkation wedding with 70 guests, as well as cruising with 44 of our sailing guests! Carnival took care of all of the details from beginning to end--including day of coordinators, our wedding cake, open bar, logistics, etc. We had a pleasant experience working with The Wedding Experience. But, since this is a review of the cruise itself, let's get to the details.

Grand Suite: Perfect for getting ready before the wedding. The room was decorated (Thanks to a great travel agent!) and we had ample space for the photographer and 2 or 3 friends moving around with preparations. Got some beautiful shots on the balcony as well. The closet was big enough to fit my wedding gown, a gown for formal night, and the rest of our clothes. It was nice to have a more standard sized restroom, as someone who usually does inside rooms. And yes, the balcony has ruined me for future inside staterooms. We had breakfast on the balcony the second day, and put some of our sparking wine to work for mimosas.

Group activities: Using the theatre for the wedding, perfect. Using the nightclub for the reception, awesome and intimate, but with space for everyone to spread out. Having our group cocktail hour in the shared space (theatre) perfect. Every one of my guests took on the benefit of that open bar ;)

Absolutely beautiful! We were able to see the Ensenada port from our room. Quiet, no problems, always kept neat. The balcony is long in width, but not deep. There are very few balconies on this ship.

Port Reviews

Ensenada

Pedro was an exceptional tour guide. His hilarious introduction to wine is probably the most creative I've ever heard. The tour guide at L.A. Cetto was exceptional as well. We mostly hung out at the final winery, but found the environment relaxing. We had 26 guests do this tour, and everyone had an amazing time.
