I've been on the NCL Star to the Mexican Riviera once before, but I enjoyed this cruise more. The food was overall good. I only ate at Tsar's and Azura once each for dinner, nothing special. I enjoyed the food at the buffet more, especially the Indian food. The tofu masala was my favorite. I often resorted to O' Sheehan's after midnight for a snack like some wings. They also had really good fish and chips.

Each night the ship had an entertainment show, as well as smaller shows afterwards usually in the Spinnaker lounge. The acrobatic duo were amazing, as well as the dancers. I liked how the dancers were pushed to go out of their comfort zone, like when they did acrobatic stunts. Ryan the dancer was very talented and super cute. My favorite show was the Dance like a Norwegian, it was so funny. Overall, JP's shows were the best. He's so cute and hilarious, by the end of the cruise I had a crush on him. The cruise staff was great as well. They all are outgoing and confident people. Jovan was pretty out there, but he was the funniest to me.

There was sufficient time in all three ports to explore as we pleased. In Cabo, we just walked around town. Do not let the taxi drivers fool you saying the shopping is 10 minutes away, it's literally right there. In Mazatlan, we took a taxi which toured us around for an hour and then dropped us off in an area for shopping. In Puerto Vallarta, we got brave and took the bus (7 pesos each!) to the Malecon area. It was pretty sketchy getting there though but we survived.
