My wife, adult daughter and I sailed on the Carnival Sunshine March 26 to April 3, 2016. We have been on numerous Carnival cruises and know what to expect.

As usual, the Sunshine was very well maintained, Carnival really has this part down to a science. This is especially impressive with the knowledge that 3700 passengers were on board a ship built for one thousand people less.

We booked room 3108, an interior room that can accommodate four guests, two of which would be in pull down bunks. The location was very convenient on the lobby floor and surprisingly quiet. The room, although small, was sufficient for our needs. Our cabin steward, Roy, was most excellent! The only potential downside to this area of cabins is that they are located directly below a discombobulated mess called the Liquid Lounge, which "transforms" into a nightclub after the shows. We were fortunate to have not been negatively impacted with the sub woofer thump generally associated with late night venues.
