We boarded the ship around noon (we were 12 people in all) and expected it to be crowded. You are given a group boarding number and we probably waited about 30 minutes to board. We didn't want to get to the ship too early as rooms aren't always ready. Once onboard, it was easy getting to rooms. Luggage took a couple of hours, so if you are traveling with kids they should have a bathing suit.
We found the entertainment to be lacking and comparing it to RC Oasis, Oasis came out far superior. We went to one show and left within 10 minutes. Some of our party went to the comedy shows and said they were great. We had read terrible reviews of Vocal Overdrive so we skipped that.
We got chairs in the morning by about 8:00 but sat upstairs because the pools were literally the size of a backyard pool. We skipped that fiasco and sat far away. There are spots on upper decks and getting chairs got easier as the week went on.
The cabin layout was incredibly well thought out. We had 3 people and surprisingly the storage was perfect. The closet had plenty of hanging room and hangers with shelves from top to bottom. Safe tucked back on a middle shelf. Mini fridge with room to store water bottles we brought aboard. Was also very pleasantly surprised to see a lot of storage in bathroom too. next to the sink were 2 long shelves. Underneath sink was extra storage. We had brought a hanging toiletry bag assuming we wouldn't have enough room, but there was plenty. I would recommend bringing shampoo and conditioner from home. I don't remember seeing conditioner in shower, but since we brought ours I didn't ask the steward.
Our steward was nice enough and cleaned our cabin in a timely manner. You should bring an old hotel key card or something like that because you need to insert it in a slot by the door in order for lights to work. There were convenient buttons by door to make up room, do not disturb and in room that made communication easy.
