We're a couple in our 40s sailing without kids and with Celebrity for the first time. Previous cruises were with Royal Caribbean, but our travel agent mentioned Celebrity being of slightly higher quality and the all-inclusive package price during Spring Break was a great selling feature. We tend to pay for convenience and having charter flights, alcohol, meals, entertainment, transfers, gratuities, etc. included was too good to pass up.
Celebrity had to cancel our charter flight due to an insufficient number of passengers from our area, so rebooked us with a stopover. For this inconvenience, we were offered $300 OBC each, premium drink packages and free Internet during the cruise. Nice perks!
We were booked for a night in Miami at the Courtyard Coconut Grove. It wasn't amazing, but it was clean and adequate. Access to nearby restaurants and shops was excellent, and the hotel provided a very good breakfast prior to our shuttle to the pier. We were able to meet some fellow passengers from Canada, which was great since we met up with them regularly during the cruise.
Loved our cabin. Wouldn't have changed a thing other than to have a little more space - but for the price, it was more than adequate and we thoroughly enjoyed the balcony.
Visited an area with shops and restaurants prior to embarkation. Very humid if you're not used to it!
Took a cab to Nachi Cocum Beach Club. A very enjoyable day.
We'd been to Stingray City, Seven Mile Beach and snorkeled here during a previous cruise. We walked around town and had lunch overlooking the water at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville. Expensive but good.
