I have been on many cruise lines including princess and Royal Caribbean, and more recently was on the Royal Princess . This particular cruise on the Crown Princess definitely lacked in terms of quality of food, poor service quality in general. The moment we embarked; we were continually being upsold on spa, and dining options.

The spa has a package for thermal beds and steams and sauna's. I bought for the pass for myself and my son, for $199. I was told this would be exclusive in that you would need the pass to use it. This was not the case, as the same facilities were available in the mens spa locker room for free. I also found out that some passengers who did not pay for the use of the exclusive area, just walked in for free. No one was checking their cards. When I brought it to the attention of the manager, I was offered some free product, they would not refund the cost of the pass. Once they got your money they were not giving it back.

The buffet was also lacking, as it was like cattle lining up for food every morning for breakfast. One waffle maker, and a line up of 10-15 people waiting for food. Not being replenished regularly.
