We were a family of ten, two grandparents, four parents, and four kids, ages 7,10,11, and 14. This is our fifth family cruise, first time with DCL. Our previous family cruises were on Celebrity Solstice class ships and the Allure of the Sea. My wife and I have been on 30 additional cruises including Celebrity, Princess, Windstar, Oceana, Regent, Silversea, and Seabourn. Was a little Leary about the condition of the Wonder due to the age of the ship and that it is scheduled for an update. We had nothing to worry about. The ship was immaculate and in excellent condition, even if looking slightly dated. The decor reminded me of ships I was on fifty years ago: elegant with beautiful woods, carpets etc. even the fourth floor promenade deck with the wood deck chairs was a through back to the luxury liners of the past.

We had five ocean view rooms of Deck 2. They were extremely comfortable with LOTS of storage space. The double bathrooms worked out well. Our cabin hostess was wonderful and she kept the cabins well stocked and clean. She was always smiling and friendly. The midship location was excellent and provided smooth sailing.

The food was very good, certainly better than the food on X and RCCL. We liked the rotating dining room program. Our waitstaff was good but not the best. They did not seem to have as smooth a relationship as other waiters have had in the past: they would forget to bring things that we ordered (such as Bearnaise sauce, maple syrup, double baked potatoes, etc.) and had to be reminded frequently. Despite that, we enjoyed our meals. We avoided the buffets, preferring breakfast and lunches a la cart in Triton. Had snacks on the ninth deck.
