Prior to our March 20-27, 2016 cruise I spent months reading reviews and doing online research about the NCL Getaway.

Now that we've returned home we are left wondering how ANYONE could NOT have an absolute blast on this ship!? In fact, we had so much fun and such a great experience we are left wondering if those who have negative experiences created them or will find something to complain about no matter what. My husband actually made the joke that he would like to backhand anyone that didn't have a great time. Honestly, if you don't have a good time on this ship you need to look in the mirror. (rant over)

From the minute we boarded to the time we embarked we experienced nothing but top notch customer service, fast beverage service, impressive room steward (cabin 14124), quality entertainment, simple reservations and NO lines despite it being Spring break for half the nation. The crew went out of their way to smile, assist and quickly help with anything. We were honestly disgusted by how the GUESTS treated the crew.....it was quite the embarrassment. We left for the cruise thinking we wouldn't be tipping on top of the daily service charge and we found ourselves so pleased with the service that we couldn't help ourselves from giving a bit extra!

Cabin Review

Spa Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B9

Cabin was perfect size for the 2 of us. We had awesome access to the spa and deck 15 (food and pools). Wouldn't change a thing!

Port Reviews

Ocho Rios

We had a driver to ourselves and went early in the morning prior to lines forming. What an amazing experience! Dry bag is helpful and DO NOT forget sunscreen and water shoes! We loved, loved, loved the falls!

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Did Stingray City with 1 snorkel stop. So pretty and timed perfectly for early in the morning to get back to port early!

Cozumel

Rented a Jeep Wrangler (on our own) from Alamo in port and LOVED exploring the island by ourselves! Went to Punta Sur Eco Park (loved) and had lunch on beach.
