This was out first time cruising on NCL. We are still up in the air on whether will will sail on this line again.

The first disappointment was transport from the airport. Having never gone out of Houston before be prepared to pay a fortune. NCL told us twice - over the phone and at the airport that the bus transport would be 50 dollars a piece round trip. Sounded fair. We signed up, it was a very easy process at the airport and they charged out seapass card. Upon conclusion of the cruise we found out that it was actually 100 per person, not 50. That was a quick 200 dollars blown.

The service was good, not excellent. They just did enough. We prefer the above normal service that we have received on other cruise lines. There were a few that went out of there way to provide excellent service but it didn't see the norm.

Cabin Review

Aft-Facing Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin M1

The reviews that I read on the balcony we chose - 11150 - an aft balcony were pretty good. Though we know now we prefer a side balcony. Yes, seeing the trailing ocean was cool but that view never changes and is limited. We were also below the deck of the Great Outdoor Cafe. Yes, they did clean the deck and moving chairs at night. Initially it just sounded like thunder and wasn't too annoying except for the last night that I think a herd of elephants was up there swabbing the deck starting about 2am.
