Let me first give you some background about us, both my wife and myself have cruised around the Carribean and the Med' on 5 star+ cruise ships and stopped in the some of the best hotels in the world, we are not snobby but do enjoy the finer things in life.

That said we have just returned from a last minute booking 7 day cruise around the Canaries on Thomson Majesty in a outside plus cabin the total cost with a flight seat upgrades, extra baggage and a drinks package was £1,500 !!! was it worth it? It certainly was one of the best holidays we have had in along time, yes the ship is "tired" but it is immaculate, every thing is functional. The staff are excellent, especially Bernard, Geny and Malanio in the 7 seas dining room, the entertainment team were the most professional we have seen anywhere! Now the food, was it good yes it was, some complained that the food in the buffet style eateries looked like slop, was cold and generally poor, I feel that food on a buffet does not generally look too appetising and when you have served yourself, carried it to your tablet and started to eat it it will have cooled down considerably! Why go there?

The waiter service dining rooms delivered a 5 course first class meal that is HOT! to your table! with crisp white table cloths, musical entertainment and a full drinks service. The food at all the outlets during the day was excellent and varied.
