Cabin: Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah (oversized verandah)

After hearing so much from friends about Disney cruising, we had to try it. After all, my wife and I are veteran cruisers and stick to all the newer ships on the 3 main cruise lines, Carnival, NCL, and Royal Caribbean.

Our thoughts before the cruise....

1. There must be a million kids running around

Cabin 04E

We let Disney pick our cabin in the lottery system to save a few bucks. When we got our cabin assignment I was not happy. Usually when selecting a cabin we have certain criteria to stay away from. This met all of the things we usually avoid.

It was right at the elevators and stairs

It was directly above the nightclub entertainment district

It was on the same level and right near the daycare/kids spaces

However, it worked out well! We never heard anyone outside or beneath our cabin. I actually went and purchased earplugs so we could sleep but we never needed them. Our room was HUGE and the balcony was so big they had 4 chairs out there. I would recommend this room for anyone. Great location and totally surprisingly quiet.
