Embarkation was smooth. We were told upon check in that we were upgraded to a VIP member (i set up the cruise critic m&g). I was very excited because I had read about what VIP gets you on the cruise. Too bad I didn't actually get anything other than priority embarkation, tender, and disembarkation. They should have probably been a little more specific about that. But i don't mind, it was nice to have our own little room with cookies, drinks, cake, and the concierge saying hello to everyone. We boarded and got our free glass of bubbly.

We had no complaints about the food. Tequila was half off between 5:30 and 6:30 every night. We took advantage of this twice because the lobster taco's and pretty much everything we had there was delicious. I highly recommend it. They also had the special all week for Orchid Garden. The food there was great too. And if they say it's spicy, trust me it is. I had the sushi bar instead and loved what I picked out. It's all you can eat for $15 and well worth it. The main dining room was always good too. The wait was a little ridiculous at times but if you don't mind sitting with others it's not so bad. I felt the restaurants were a bit understaffed for a full ship of people. We often waited a really long time after being seated before we were able to order. There were times at blue lagoon where it took 10 minutes for a host to come to the front desk to seat people and then another 20 minutes for our waiter to come. we actually left once it was so bad. During the times when blue lagoon and the great outdoors are the only things open they should put more staff on. Blue lagoon had good wings and potato skins. Every time we ordered the tomato soup it never came out so we can't say how good or bad it was. The buffet was good, for a buffet. We always did breakfast there because it was fast and easy. don't forget if you don't want the food that's been sitting there, just ask the guys behind the buffet to make fresh food!

Tequila Bar was our favorite bar to hang out at. There was usually tortilla chips and salsa or guacamole there to eat with your drinks. Magdala was the main bartender there and she's great. Funny, interesting, and caring. She did two margarita tastings during the week and both times there were upwards of 30 people there! It's well worth the $15.

Perfect location for an inside cabin. not very far from elevator/stairs, but none of the noise from the traffic. floor is between two other stateroom only floors so absolutely no noise!!!
