Look, cruising is a blast. I mean great beds, service and food, entertainment all around. Overall, a great deal, but a few negatives can put a cast over the experience. I'll get to those, but the nice thing about this cruise is the beautiful scenery, calm seas and great color and culture in Mexico. the Cabo stop is short but was long enough to walk a bit and then take a Panga over to the beach in front of THE OFFICE, a fun restaurant with the best chili relleno I ever had! Next stop Mazatlan where we enjoyed cabbing around. Tried to get a tour at the Pacifico Brewery but it was obvious they did not want any Gringos inside. Evidently they are not accustomed to giving tours. We then made our way to Poncho’s on the beach for a wonderful lunch with a view.
Last stop, Puerto Vallarta where we took a tequila distillery tour. Great tastes and great tequila, just watch the bottle size you are paying for. Check your bag. Later, take a cab to the strand (just ask to go to McDonald's). There are many nice restaurants along the area, which is beautiful. There are statues at every street.
OK, now the MIRACLE problems/negatives. The worst thing was the stomping Caribbean Night right above our staterooms on deck 8. Who plans this stuff?? We complained and got a small compensation, but that is not the point. Who wants their sleep interrupted? Especially when the next morning included an early tour.
The only problem is the Lido deck above. Chairs dragging, dancers, equipment moving.
Fun stop.
