This was my seventh cruise with Carnival and my second trip on the Victory, We bought the FTTF and we were able to board as soon as we arrived at the ship. We flew into Orlando on the same day and used a private car to deliver us directly to the terminal.

The last time I traveled on Victory was ten years ago and as far as the rooms and common areas, nothing has changed. I understand that they are working to upgrade some parts of the ship and it needs it. We were on the Empress Deck, starboard and back of the ship. We had a balcony room. The room had a lot of rust in areas in the bathroom and on the balcony. The bathroom sink is still pink and chipped in a few spots. We had a wonderful cabin steward named Arnold and he was very attentive. He did knock the first day and asked us about serving the room in the morning, evening or both. We chose the evening service. I did ask for a robe and he delivered it immediately.

The showroom and the two shows with the Carnival dancers were good. The female singer was outstanding the male was average. We also went to see two comedians at three different shows and they were very average. I will say that the shows were the 18+ shows and the Carnival employee from South Africa is very strict at enforcing the age. One show a father allowed his kids to stay even though they were not 18. Both the Carnival employee and several of us in the audience were not happy that they were not removed. Rules apply to everyone in my opinion.

Freeport

We just shopped in port

Nassau

We took a 2.5 hr tour with four others and it cost $20 each. We went to a rum factory, a rum cake location and shopped. We had time at Atlantis to wander around.
