This is the 4th NCL cruise in the past 2 years for my wife and myself, and they continue to be great! It was our adult son's first cruise, and I'm sure it won't be his last!

I have to admit, that after reading so many good and bad reviews on the Jewel before our trip, I didn't know what to expect. But I am happy to say that I had nothing to worry about. From the moment we stepped on board to the minute we left, we were always greeted by friendly staff and crew and were always made to feel special. We stayed in a 2 room family suite (11006) and were very happy with the size and accommodations. The master king size bed was great - not to sure of the art choice for the painting above the bed, but still great! The master bath was very big with double sinks, tub and shower with windows that looked out over the ocean. The pull out bed in the second room was pretty hard even with the foam pad our steward brought in for my son. The second room had it's own bathroom and shower. The living room was great for relaxing or "watching the world go by" outside on the balcony

The food (and there is plenty of it available) was good, some better than others, but that can be said for anywhere, The buffet was good, and always plenty of items to choose from. The dining rooms had good food with a menu that changed nightly. Of course, the specialty restaurants were VERY GOOD! There was always something going on during the days and evenings to keep you entertained. While we did not attend many shows in the evening, we did hear good things from people that did attend.
