We sailed March 12-22 on The Gem. NCL does a good job of making a cruising holiday affordable and fun for families. We sailed have sailed on The Gem in 2014 as well.

We returned this year hoping for a good vacation, and overall it was: food is always good on The Gem; entertainment and service great too. Activities were often centred on making money off passengers. The entertainment was good; dancers amazing. Teen entourage was younger teens so our 16 year old didn't go there too much. Dis/embarkation was organized.

The downfall? Norovirus on board with us!

Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MA

Noisy above as I discovered the Garden Cafe is directly above this room.

Port Reviews

Tortola

Catamaran Sailaway and Snorkel was very good. The price was worth the $85/pp to have a wonderful sail on a friendly boat, a 1 hour snorkel and 1 hour private beach stop.
