View of ship from Tender in Grand Caymen

Had a fantastic time on the Freedom of the Seas! A beautiful ship. We had a balcony room once again. The weather this time was not our friend as it was last year on the Jewel from San Juan. I really enjoyed the different set up on this ship, as the jewel has no promenade down the center, it has a centrum instead. I really love the RCI staff. They are trained to make the customer the #1!! It shows. We have always had fantastic service.

Once again the wait for elevators because my mom is in a wheel chair is a problem. As well, we were not seated in an area in the MDR that was easily accessible for a person in a wheel chair. The waits for elevator and the rudeness of some passengers who are perfectly able to walk up and down stairs is unbelievable. Overall though there was very little problems besides that and there were so many nice people on this cruise.

A shout out to the Country Music people on board. You were so nice and fantastic company! And some of you - very talented. I really enjoyed the gym. Loved my balcony room. We had no problems. The surprise concert by the original beach boy member - and his band was fantastic and amazing. The boat did get quite rocky and one night was a little scary with the wind whipping through our balcony door, but the first four days were fine and the itinerary was fantastic.

Cabin Review

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

I have to say that it was better than expected. I sleep well on these beds. Quiet, good lighting. No problems with plumbing or lighting. We had the separation removed with the next room as my mom and daughter were in there... giving us an extra large balcony really for the 4 of us. Too bad the weather was not cooperating for the last 2-3 days and we could not really enjoy it as much as I would have liked. I love sitting out at night though and star gazing. Clean and cozy. RCI does a great job.

Port Reviews

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

The best part of the trip.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

We had a great tour of the Turtle Farm but I would have loved to get in the water with them. Loved the semi-submarine which was one of my favourite parts of the excursion. Hell not so much - though I did buy rum at the Tortuga.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Fine. Bought some rum. Ate the rum cake. Yum.

Cozumel

Unfortunately the weather was very uncooperative. All excursions were cancelled due to rough waves. We toured the island. Very pleasant. Just got off the ship, shopped in the little mall and went on a cab ride $20 each. Included admission to Paradise Beach Resort - very nice. Wish we had had more time there. The pool looked fantastic. The beach too..but I could only wade in - the weather was too cool and the waves very choppy. A beautiful island for sure. I would love to rent a jeep next time.

Labadee

We just got off the boat and walked down to a nice spot. Loved this island. So perfect. Brought my water shoes as I had been advised to do so. The beaches are rocky. ....don't go without shoes. The water was warm, it was lovely and sunny. Had my Labadoozie!! $12. And we had a fantastic meal - free provided by RCI.

Falmouth

We took a cab ride to Red Stripe Beach, 25 each for a ride to the place, and a ride back. We really liked the beach and it was very private. Very windy - so could not stay too long; stayed about 3 hours. The water was amazing. Warm and Crystal clear. Best water on this trip. Very pleasant and nobody trying to sell us junk!! I would go back.
