We finally made it to New Zealand! This was on our bucket list for a very long time. We had sailed the Diamond one year ago to Asia/Japan and love the ship and found it to be in very good shape, we did not see worn out or torn furniture and it was very clean and tidy. We love the little Asian design touches around the ship. We have sailed this class of ship before on Princess and like how familiar it was.

We can always find a cozy place to sit where we are out of the main throng of passengers. Skywalkers was our go to place to read or work on our photos with our laptop. We love the aft of the ship for quiet places to be.

Mornings and evenings for sunrise and sunset up on the decks were lovely. We ate at the Lido and Trident Grill for all of our meals and would take our plates outside to sit where it was quiet and watch the wake of the ship. We found the food to be consistently hot and there were many choices including international dishes and theme nights for England, Brazil, Mexico, Greece and Asia.

Cabin Review

Interior

Cabin IA

We have had an inside cabin twice and for the amount of money we saved vs a balcony we were able to do other things and shop more! We really love the inside because when it is noisy outside or it gets a little too "Peopley" for us we go to our cabin and it is quiet and dark to sleep. It is cozy and just right for us.

Port Reviews

Tauranga

Awesome! It was surreal being in Hobbiton. The bus ride to the farm was lovely and we were able to see much of the countryside. Wow, New Zealand is lush and beautiful with sheep dotting the rolling hills!
