As an experienced cruiser I was unprepared for this 6,000+ passenger monstrosity. Yes, we had fun and the best thing about the trip was the exceptional entertainment. We saw all of the shows; yes we were lucky enough to see the diving show on the first night before it was cancelled beause of bad weather.
Chaos ensued booking specialty dining. We bought one of the packages and we were blocked from making reservations prior to boarding. Once on board we got the runaround and really early dinning selections. We also bought the drink package and the inconsistencies of which wine was available from restaurant to restaurant was nubbing. For instance if the wine was listed on the general dining room menu as a choice, surprise, it was not available with the drink package.
The most disappointing aspect was the Royal Caribbean island and the spa. The island was lovely enough and the buffet lunch was disgusting! Flies swarmed all over the buffet lines while staff swatted. I had an appointment for a massage and facial. The therapist was well skilled and while she was working on me, bagging noises came from the floor below us. Even the therapist could not understand what it was and I was ignored when I commented about the intrusion at the desk.
Standard cozy cabin with a balcony. When you have seen one they are all the same and never look like the picture.
Exceptional to learn the history of the island and the relationship with the cruise line.
Excellent guides and I would never subject myself to the stress of walking through the streets again.
Good guide and quick stops. Very heavy handed when we returned to the shopping area and leaving the group
Explored the city on out own.
