We went on our first cruise for my 40th birthday and researched various cruise companies. We opted for NCL as they seemed to offer the flexibility we were looking for.

We checked in at the Port of Venice and this was a very straight forward process, with friendly staff. Our luggage was booked in for us and would be delivered to our cabin later on, leaving us free to explore and relax once on-board.

We booked an inside stateroom on deck 10 and found this was a good area to be in as it was central to most facilities and was quiet compared to other decks.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Inside

Cabin IA

Our cabin was in a great location, central to everything and very quiet. There were 4 of us in the cabin and it was fine, our children had a Pullman bed and an extra pullout bed, all very comfortable.

The bathroom was perfectly adequate although quite compact! There was hanging space for clothes and also drawer space.

The TV was good as it had various settings, you could view the map to see where you had been and where you were going and various other information.

Port Reviews

Malta (Valletta)

We explored Valletta independently, we took the lift up to the Battery Fort, which was very cheap. The area is very interesting and had very pleasant views.

Palma de Mallorca (Majorca)

We took a hop on hop off bus tour, which was excellent value and took us to all the areas we wanted to see.

Venice

Embarkation port

Barcelona

Dismebarkation port, very pretty and would highly recommend.
