Our first ever cruise on Carnival was a Mediterrean cruise with John Heald as our cruise director. That set the bar extremely high and it's never been met since. We've had nice cruises on Carnival since but these last two are causing me to rethink my cruising choices. The entertainment on this one was good but nothing outstanding and the same thing every night--singing and dancing. A magician or something different one night would've been nice.

The dining experience on this ship started out like last cruise's--HORRIBLE!!! We had the WORST wait staff ever last cruise and the first meal received on the Miracle (AND service) was very reminiscent of last. The maitre d' came to the table asking what he could do and he moved us the next night. Much better (but still nothing outstanding).

The food was so so and I was very surprised the food wasn't 'special' on the 2nd elegant night (apparently no more baked alaska on Carnival anymore). There's a weird little closet-sized room off the main dining and if you're seated there, get OUT while you can!!
